Young Zebras Return
24/10/2019
Young Zebras Jackson Hille and Stephen Tahana have put pen to paper for season 2020.
Coming off consistent seasons in 2019, Hille and Tahana are the first to sign contracts under new Head Coach, Ben McGlynn.
Hille played 16 games for Sandringham in 2019, where he emerged as a crucial piece to the Zebras backline.
In his 16 games, Hille averaged 10 disposals and three marks.
His best came in our Round 6 win over Collingwood, where he registered 16 touches.
Hille, now coming into his third season with the club, is raring to go under new coach McGlynn, "I just can't wait to get stuck into preseason, and enjoy it all with my teammates".
Tahana in his first year at the club, played 17 games and was a sight to see with his relentless tackling.
In his 17 games, Tahana averaged 14 disposals and five tackles. Featuring in Sandy's best twice, Tahana's highlights included collecting 25 touches and 7 marks against Geelong in Round 15, and a game high 10 tackles against Footscray in Round 16.
Despite his strong season, Tahana believes he still has plenty more to show.
"Although I was able to play most of the season throughout 2019, I feel like I am still yet to play my best footy", Stephen said.
"The Zebras have been great in supporting me on and off the field. A new coach in Ben McGlynn is very exciting and I can't wait to work with him more".
