Sandringham Football Club is pleased to announce that Logan Young has signed with the Zebras for the 2024 season.
The 21 year old previously played for Claremont in the Western Australian Football League (WAFL) Colts competition, where he won the club's Best & Fairest and a premiership.
Young is another former Dragon, coming over from WA to join the Sandringham Dragons in 2021, and was part of their Young Guns side. He's had experience at VFL level, playing a couple of VFL games for North Melbourne and a few VFL games for Sydney in 2021 whilst on the Dragons list.
Young signed with West Coast's WAFL side in 2022 and trialled for a supplementary rookie spot with the West Coast Eagles. He was a Covid top up player for the Eagles' AFL side three times that year.
“Coming off an injury-interrupted couple of years, Logan's drive to be the best he can be through actions and his inquisitive nature will give him a great opportunity to excel. We like his power and burst as a big-bodied mid,” says Head Coach, Jake Batchelor.
Described as a 'hard-working inside midfielder who wins plenty of contested ball,' we can't wait to see Young in action in 2024.
