Vale Mervyn Davidson

Our condolences and thoughts are with the family and friends of Mervyn Davidson following his recent passing, aged 95.  

Merv was a past player at the Sandringham Football Club, playing 34 games from 1955-56 and kicking 38 goals in the yellow, black and blue. Merv was a proud Bayside footballer, having played over 100 VAFA games for the Hampton Rovers. He was awarded the VAFA A Section Best & Fairest in 1954, represented the Big V, and received offers to train with Carlton and St Kilda Football Clubs among others.

Football was an enormous part of Merv's life.
