VALE Karl Krechman
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of a much loved figure around the Sandringham Football Club, Karl Krechman.
Karl, affectionally known as Bear, would often be seen around the club on training nights or match days preparing food for the players and staff, whether that be watermelon, oranges or even pasta, all provided by himself whilst asking for nothing in return. Bear has also previously helped with setups and sausage sizzles at matchdays and club Family Day.
Bear’s journey began with Sandringham Football Club after the signing of Club Captain Brede Seccull and Durras Seccull, due to a close friendship with the Seccull family. Bear would take it upon himself to help the club where possible without request, showing his love and generosity for the Sandringham Football Club.
Bear was an incredible volunteer and, whether in good or bad health, nothing was too difficult for him. Bear has also had previous experience volunteering with our under 18 affiliate, Sandringham Dragons.
Sandringham Football Club has been incredibly lucky to have Bear involved over the past couple of years and he will be greatly missed by all who got to know him. We give our deepest condolences to the Seccull family and extended Krechman family.
