Two new Zebs on board for 2025

Ella Sciberras and Courtney Aughtie return in 2025

The Sandringham Football Club are thrilled to announce that Courtney Aughtie and Ella Sciberras have re-signed for the 2025 season!

Ella Sciberras

A composed and reliable defender, Sciberras has re-signed after a promising first season at the Southern Saints in 2024. Having played her junior footy at Glen Iris and progressed through the Sandringham Dragons from 2020–2023, including time in the leadership group, she boasts a strong development pathway and deep footy IQ.

She was a key part of Old Scotch’s 2024 VAFA premiership team and previously spent time on Collingwood’s AFLW train-on list in 2022. Her composure and strength in the backline shows she is ready to take her game to new heights in 2025.

Courtney Aughtie

A dual-sport talent, Aughtie made the switch from a 15-year soccer career to AFL and hasn’t looked back since. After two strong seasons with Seaford Football Club, including a South East Football League Team of the Year selection in 2023, she joined the Southern Saints in 2024 and made her VFLW debut as a tall forward.

With her athleticism, strong marking, and ability to impact the scoreboard, Aughtie brings a unique edge to the Zebs side and is set to continue her rise in 2025.

We’re pumped to have both Courtney and Ella in the yellow, black and blue this season!
