Hannah Stuart crowned VFLW Southern Saints Best & Fairest for 2022!
Clear front-runner Hannah Stuart has been awarded the VFLW Southern Saints Best & Fairest for 2022, polling a massive 156 votes across the season. Spending more time in the midfield this year, Stuart played all 18 games and scored votes in every one of them.
She led the VFLW in total disposals (405, 22.5 per game), kicks (253, 14.1) as well as ranking fourth in tackles (119, 6.6 per game) and acquiring 5.7 clearances per game.
Stuart also took home the 2022 Coaches Award and Sainter of the Year Award, alongside her Leadership Group counterparts, Deanna Jolliffe and Bec Neaves.
Being picked up by St Kilda FC in the AFLW Draft rounds out a stellar season for Stuart.
Strong defender, Grace Buchan, finished Runner Up with 69 votes. Slotting straight into our defence this year, she acquired the eighth most disposals in the VFLW (271, 16.9 per game), the fourth most marks (62, 3.9 per game) plus the sixth most kicks (201, 12.6 per game).
Young gun, Charlotte Ryan took home the Best Emerging Player Award. Ryan played 10 games this season, averaging 8.4 disposals.
Physiotherapist, Elise Vadiveloo, was recognised with the Extra Mile Award. The Extra Mile Award is awarded to someone who goes above and beyond to help the Southern Saints and conducts themselves with professionalism when acting on behalf of the Club.
