Sophie is LOCKEd in!

Sandringham Football Club is excited to announce the signing of midfielder Sophie Locke for the upcoming season.

The 24-year-old, known for her strong work ethic and versatility, joins us from Hawthorn AFLW and will be a key addition to the Zebras' midfield.

Locke was recruited by Hawthorn after a standout performance with Port Melbourne in the VFLW. She also represented the Murray Bushrangers and Vic Country at the junior level, showcasing her talent from a young age.

She is a versatile and driven player with excellent vision and the ability to contribute at both ends of the field. Her aggressive approach and experience make her a standout addition to the team.

Before joining Sandringham, Locke had a notable stint with the Hawthorns' AFLW team, where she impressed with her composure and physicality at the highest level. During her time at Hawthorn, she developed a reputation as a versatile player, often excelling in tight contests and adding a spark to the team's midfield. Her AFLW experience will be invaluable as she brings learnings from the higher-level competition to Sandringham.

The club is thrilled to have Locke on board. With her skill, energy, and tactical awareness, she can drive the team forward. VFLW Head Coach, Lachlan Harris, is eager to see how she'll contribute to the squad's ambitions this season.
