Seccull first to re-sign for 2019

Sandringham Football Club are delighted to reveal their first signing for the 2019 season, in fan favourite, Brede Seccull.
Brede was arguably one of Sandringham’s best players during the 2018 home and away season despite the Zebras’ unsuccessful year. The Club spoke with him following the re-signing.
“I am stoked to have signed on with Sandringham FC for 2019. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year at the club. The players, staff, coaches and supporters alike have all made me feel incredibly welcome from my first day,” he told the Club enthusiastically.
“I have met some fantastic people through the club, and look forward to continuing on into the future. 2018 has certainly had its challenges and it hurts to miss out of finals action this season. I know that the ingredients are there for us as a club to have success next year and I’m determined to do all I can to help us achieve that next season.”
Although the 2018 season was fruitless for Sandringham, Seccull knows that next year can be better, and what needs to be done in order to improve to make that happen.
“The VFL is a tough competition and we as a playing group need to improve in a number of areas if we are to be playing finals footy next season. I truly believe that we can achieve success as a club in the years to come, there are a number of people doing a mountain of work behind the scenes to enable us to improve heading forward.
My goal is to win a premiership at Sandringham and hopefully in 2019 we take the first step on that journey and are a part of September action next season.”
Sandringham Football Club’s chief executive, David Cannizzo spoke excitably of the news on behalf of the Club.
“We are thrilled to announce that Brede has resigned with the Club for next season, he is one of the most mature and talented young men I have had the pleasure of knowing and he will take the playing group in the right direction, hopefully for many years to come,” Cannizzo explained.
