Seccull blitzes field to win 2018 Neil Bencraft Best & Fairest

After the completion of his first season at the Zebras Brede Seccull went in to the night of nights as a heavy favourite to take out the Neil Bencraft Best & Fairest and the numbers eventually showed why.
Sandy by the Bay played host to a fantastic 2018 Neil Bencraft Best & Fairest night in front of 130 people.
Sandringham Football Club was able to reward and recognise a number of exceptional people both on and off the field in season 2018.
The awards as they played out on the night are as follows:
Best First Year Player (Ray Patmore Memorial Trophy) – Hayden McLean
Team Player Award – Kade Answerth
Extra Mile Award – Anthony Vella
Most Determined Player (Ed Hattam Memorial Trophy) – Jonathan Haidon
Best Club Person (Eric McKenzie Memorial Trophy) – Brede Seccull
Most Courageous Player (Greg Lyons Memorial Trophy) – Jack Noone
Coaches Award – Brede Seccull
Leading Goal Kicker – Jonathan Haidon & Tom Lamb
Most Liston Trophy Votes (Paul Ladds Memorial Trophy) – David Armitage
Gary Gilchrist Award (Zebra Spirit Award) – Bec McHenry
Runner-Up Best & Fairest – David Armitage
Jack Barker Award – David Armitage
Neil Bencraft Best & Fairest – Brede Seccull
With a fantastic core group already signed for season 2019 and many of those being rewarded for great individual seasons in 2018 things are definitely looking up for the Zebras.
