Sandringham vs. Frankston Round 10 Match Preview

Peter Jackson VFL Round 10
Sandringham Zebras vs. Frankston Dolphins
Trevor Barker Beach Oval, Sandringham
2:00pm Sunday June 10, 2018
In the inaugural Sandringham Pride Cup on Sunday afternoon, the Zebras will host the Frankston Dolphins at Trevor Barker Beach Oval in what is a must-win game to get Sandringham’s season back on track.
After a humiliating loss to North Melbourne last week, Sandringham must deliver this week in a match that they are expected to win. Despite being a game clear and two positions ahead of their opposition, coach Aaron Hamill will be expecting the same endeavour that the boys delivered last week in spite of the scoreboard. Sandringham matched their opposition last week everywhere, but were unable to convert, and made silly mistakes which ended up proving costly.
The Zebras have only won one match since Round 2, while the Dolphins have copped back-to-back losses in past weeks, so both teams are looking to get the four points and prove something to the competition.
If Billy Longer makes his return to the side this week, he could be taking on fellow St Kilda listed ruckman Lewis Pearce making this match-up one to watch for Saints fans. Some other big St Kilda listed ins include the likes of Jack Billings and Josh Bruce, which will be great additions to the Zebras line up.
Jackson Hille has impressed in his first two games in the Zebra stripes, and has again been named the 23rd player this week as he looks to continue his good form.
A curtain raiser match between SFNL women’s sides South Yarra and Frankston will be played out from 11:30.
If you can’t get down to Trevor Barker Beach Oval tomorrow, tune in to Casey radio or follow our social media channels @sandyzebs.
