The Southern Saints have confirmed another trio of signings for the 2022 VFLW season including Rebecca Neaves, Georgia McLean and Kayla Ripari.
Rebecca Neaves has re-signed for season 2022.
The Southern Saints are excited to confirm another trio who have signed on for 2022 VFLW season adding versatility and strength to the squad.
Known for her leadership and consistency, Rebecca Neaves will continue to play a very important role in the 2022 season.
Finishing 7th in the Southern Saints Best & Fairest, Neaves adds plenty of versatility to the team playing through midfield, wing and dropping in defence.
Neaves was a very consistent contributor throughout the season, specifically in the finals.
Georgia McLean is another player who is renowned for her consistency and versatility.
McLean had the ability to play on both taller and smaller forwards, fulfilling her role as a defender in the 2021 season.
Despite defence being her main role, the team could always count on McLean to help out in the forward line and create pressure around the ball.
We look forward to seeing McLean play in the 2022 season.
Being an important player both on and off the field, Kayla Ripari (Rippa) is another important player signed on for the 2022 season.
Rippa is a reliable player for the Southern Saints with her undeniably hard-working attitude and 100% attack on the footy.
Rippa is one that you can always trust to add forward pressure, causing issues for any defender.
Football & Recruitment Manager, Josh Vella, was excited to announce the signings.
"We are delighted once again to keep another three fantastic people and players at the Southern Saints in 2022,” Vella said.
“All three of these girls have played key roles in our push to finals in 2021 and I have no doubt will all feature heavily again next year. I know Dale is also stoked to keep these girls with us heading into next year and all play such important parts in the culture of our club."
