Saints narrowly miss out on the win

The Southern Saints went down by just one point against North Melbourne on Sunday morning.

The Southern Saints took on North Melbourne at Wilson Storage Trevor Barker Beach Oval on Sunday the 5th of May. Whilst the Saints had a promising first few quarters, it wasn’t enough to get us over the line as we lost by just one point.
It was an even game as we headed into half time with a one-goal lead, but North Melbourne responded, scoring two goals in the third quarter. It was a promising finish as we scored two goals in the last quarter which unfortunately wasn’t enough as North came through with their last goal pushing them over the finish line.
Tessa Boyd showcased her skills as she finished with 22 disposals and 16 kicks.
Chloe Hunt had a strong game, scoring two out of our three goals of the game in the fourth quarter giving us some hope.
Maddison Torpey lead the hit out count with 29, whilst Abbey Tregellis finished the day with 10 tackles.
