The Sandringham Zebras bounced back after their loss last Sunday with a 110-point victory over Richmond.
It was a huge display for Pat's Match with 13 individual goal scorers - Matthew Allison finishing with five goals. Brad Crouch finished with 38 disposals followed by Hugo Garcia with 29 disposals along with 11 tackles and eight clearances. Tom Campbell lead the hit out count with 33.
Despite Richmond getting the opening goal of the game, our response left Hunter Clark in charge, getting our first goal five minutes into the first term. The next thirteen minutes were an arm wrestle with both teams conceding two points each until Matthew Allison unleashed two back-to-back goals before the break giving us a 12-point lead heading into quarter time.
Richmond again kicked the opening goal of the second term, which was then assertively followed by three consecutive Zebs goals. The players showed their quality, controlling the ball with quick handballs and accurately hitting targets inside our 50. The midfield worked overtime keeping the ball locked into our half for the large majority of the quarter resulting in four goals from turnovers.
Three goals in 15-minutes from Hugo Hall-Kahan, including two in a minute, followed by goals from Max Heath and Tom Campbell saw us marching out to a 33-point lead at the halftime break.
The rain began to drizzle as the third quarter began but that didn't impact our efficiency. A long and accurate kick from Crouch into Jack Hayes' hands got us a goal in the first minute of the term. We racked up the possessions for the remainder of the quarter as Richmond scored their last score in the 14th minute.
The final quarter rained goals as the Zebs poured on seven majors, with four coming within two minutes of each other.
