Lok, Bayne & Lewis re-sign for the Zebras in 2022

The Sandringham Football Club have confirmed the re-signings of Goy Lok, Fin Bayne and Oscar Lewis ahead of the 2022 VFL season.

We are excited to announce three key re-signings going into the New Year.

Goy Lok, Fin Bayne and Oscar Lewis have all re-committed to the Zebras for the 2022 season.

Goy Lok, the reigning Sandringham FC B&F winner and our peer-voted 2021 Vice-Captain, will once again be an important part of our leadership group next year. He had a fantastic year in 2021 playing all 9 of our games and averaging 17 disposals and close to a goal a game. He provides power and explosiveness to the midfield group with an ability to push forward and hit the scoreboard. We are pumped to have Goy back in 2022!

Football & Recruitment Manager, Josh Vella, described the re-signing of Goy as “A nice Christmas present”.

Fin Bayne is another player we are thrilled to have re-sign with us for the 2022 season. Fin played 8 of 9 possible games in 2021, kicking 5 goals. He adds versatility to the Zebra’s line-up, having the ability to play through the midfield, wing and forward line. Fin's ability to read the play and make great decisions with ball in hand will often stand out in the heat of battle, as well as his ball use on both sides of his body. We have no doubt we will see plenty more of Fin in 2022. 

Oscar Lewis is a 20 year old former Sandringham Dragon who will give many Zebras supporters plenty to get excited about in 2022. Oscar was another to play just about the whole season in the VFL side in 2021, adding plenty of run, support and a high work-rate through the wing and half back positions. Oscar has been exciting to watch so far throughout the 2022 pre-season and is poised for a big VFL year.
