A Hawk and a Dragon have converted to the Zebras for 2025
Chloe Bailey
With previous VFLW experience to her name with the Box Hill Hawks in 2023 and 2024, Bailey is a welcomed addition to the Zebras for 2025.
Known for her role as a defender in years gone by, Bailey is set to embark on life as a forward with her move over to Sandringham, a challenge she is ready to meet, already kicking her first goal for the club in last Sunday's practice match against Williamstown.
Bailey joins the Zebs fresh off winning a premiership in 2024 with her local Warragul Industrials in the West Gippsland Football League, and she is eager to do some more celebrating with her Zebra teammates this year, saying
"I'm excited for the year ahead with the best group of girls, who are beyond encouraging and supportive."
Jacinta Boyd
No stranger to playing at Trevor Barker Beach Oval after her time with the Sandringham Dragons, Boyd should feel at home as she joins the Zebras for 2025.
Boyd makes the transition from the Dragons to the Zebras, after a successful two years in the Coates Talents League, where she proved to be an adaptable tall, capable of playing both ends of the ground.
Spending time in the backline while with the Dragons, Boyd showcased her skills as a strong one-on-one defender, while also being reliable when called upon to go forward, kicking four goals over the course of her time there.
Boyd has a long footy history, spending time with the Beaumaris Football Club and becoming to first girl to play 100 junior games there, and it will be exciting to see her continue her journey with Sandringham in the VFLW for 2025.
