Head Coach Hamill is Back
15/09/2018
The Sandringham Football Club is thrilled to announce that Aaron Hamill will continue on as Senior Coach at the Zebras for season 2019.
The St Kilda Football Club has locked away Hamill for the next two years, meaning that he will remain at the helm for the Sandringham boys next year.
Sandringham chief executive David Cannizzo announced the news at last night’s Neil Bencraft Best & Fairest.
“Our Senior Coach Aaron Hamill has signed on again with St Kilda FC and will be coaching the Sandringham FC in 2019,” Cannizzo explained.
“Aaron has been a wonderful asset to the club this year and the feedback from the players, coaches, support staff has been glowing.
We are delighted Aaron will be continuing in the role in 2019 and look forward to bigger and better things.”
Following the announcement Hamill spoke of the commitment from the boys and support staff moving into next season and the importance of that.
“They’re a really critical group, and I couldn’t be any prouder and they’re a pleasure to coach those guys. They certainly play in the right way and they hold the place in good stead moving forward,” Hamill said.
“I’ve already spoken to a lot of the boys, and they’re really committed and driven.”
“We’ll keep tinkering the program where we can, and try to make the environment the best possible environment it can be to help reach potential. That’s the beauty of coaching, you’re all on one page and you’re heading in the right direction with good people.”
The Club and Hamill are equally committed to going one better next season and making finals in what is shaping up to be a bigger and better 2019.
The Sandringham Football Club would like to thank Aaron Hamill for his hard work and commitment in the past year, and moving forward.
