Five more Zebras re-sign
08/03/2022
Five more Zebras players have re-signed for the 2022 VFL season.
Johnathan Haidon re-signs and is now the most experienced Zebra.
Haidon returns to the Zebras for his 8th successive year since 2015, making him the most experienced Zebra at the Club. After a serious injury which ended his season during the 2021 practice match series for his local club, Haidon returns fit and ready to make an impact this year. We look forward to seeing his outstanding effort, forward pressure and intensity on a week-to-week basis again in 2022.
Dan Frampton returns for his 3rd consecutive year since moving from Geelong VFL.
Frampton played an integral role in helping Red Hill move up to division 1 of the MPNFL back in 2019, following his premiership success with the Dandenong Stingrays in 2018. As an asset to the team, Frampton will add flexibility and defensive pressure to the Sandringham Zebras backline.
Luke Dalmau signs on with the Zebras for his 3rd successive year.
Dalmau has dominated at MPNFL level with the Frankston Pines in recent years and will be looking to take that form into 2022, building on his 3 VFL games in 2021. The former Dandenong Stingrays Captain has plenty to offer for the Zebras as a big bodied midfielder, who can also play through the forward line. We look forward to watching Dalmau advance in 2022.
Vince Zagari has also re-signed for his 2nd year with the Zebras.
Zagari has returned with intent and a willingness to learn and improve his footy in 2022. The former Oakleigh Charger had his first taste of VFL footy in 2021 and is now looking to add more experience to his resume this year. We will likely see Zagari use his speed and running abilities out on the wing throughout the season, and we are very excited to watch him continue to develop.
Max Sinclair, the definition of persistence, signs on again for the 2022 season.
After being offered 'train on spots' for multiple years with the Zebras, Sinclair has continued to work on his game by implementing feedback from the coaches. He has worked very hard during pre-season sessions and has well and truly earnt his list spot in 2022. Sinclair has a great ability to cover the ground and get to contests. He will likely play forward and sometimes midfield throughout the 2022 season.
