Five More Join the Zebs
14/03/2020
Sandringham are pleased to welcome a number of new players to the Club for season 2020.
Sam Loewe, Jimmy Freeman, Brenton Lambert, Macgregor Cameron and Nick Bufalo have all put pen to paper to represent the Zebras for the first time this year.
Sam Loewe
Sam Loewe, son of St Kilda legend Stewart Loewe, joins us from Old Haileybury FC where he has kicked 46 goals in 36 games across the past two years.
Sam will add another dynamic to our forward line with his speed, skills and football IQ.
Jimmy Freeman
Jimmy joins us from Casey Demons where he has spent four years in the VFL competition.
He will bring leadership and add height and strong marking prowess to the Sandringham forward line.
Jimmy's local club will be Balwyn, under coach Rodney Eade.
We are excited to see Jimmy kicking bags of goals in 2020!
Brenton Lambert
Brenton has only been playing senior footy for two years but has been rated extremely highly by coaches and staff at local level.
Brenton lifts the bar with his training standards and fitness level. He has the physical attributes to go a long way in this competition and will continue to push the Sandringham boys along the way.
Brenton will bring a physical, competitive edge to the Sandringham defence in 2020.
Macgregor Cameron
Big Mac Cameron is a welcome addition to the Sandringham squad, adding to the ruck stocks and bringing height and strong hands around the ground.
He stands at over 200cm's and has been extremely impressive throughout pre-season.
Mac featured in the best players for Monash Blues on ten occasions from 18 games in 2019 and we look forward to seeing what he will bring to the VFL in 2020.
Nick Bufalo
Nick Bufalo joins us from the Sandringham Dragons and will add to our 19 year old options in 2020.
Nick is a big bodied player who will add great depth in a number of areas across the ground, adding grunt to the midfield and also playing a role in defence.
He has been eye-catching throughout pre-season, matching it physically against some much more mature bodies on the list.
We are excited to have Nick at the Zebras in 2020.
