First Signing for 2019

The Sandringham Football Club is thrilled to announce its first signing of new blood for the 2019 season, as Sam Sofronidis joins the club.

The Sandringham Dragons youngster played the last game of the 2018 with the Zebras, showing off his athleticism, gathering 11 disposals in Sandringham’s loss to Collingwood.

He moves well for a defender of his size and will be a good option down back for the Zebras next season.

I’m very excited to be part of the club, and I’m just really looking forward to get to know the boys and coaches a lot better throughout my first year down at the Zebras. As well as learning off the more experienced players and coaching staff to improve my game at a senior level”, Sofronidis told the club.

“I hope to achieve a consistent year, and just keep on improving not only on the field but also other aspects off the field as well.”

“I feel really honoured to be down at the club and be given the opportunity and can’t wait to get into it.”
