COVID-19 Staffing Update
The Sandringham Football Club (SFC) provide the following statement as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, and due to the AFL’s decision to postpone the operation and/or the commencement of the VFL/VFLW season to 1st of June 2020 at the earliest.
The SFC Board have had to make the unfortunate decision to stand down all employees of the SFC effective from Friday 3rd April, until such time as we are notified that the competitions are to resume. We would like to make it very clear that we have not terminated any staff and will be ready to resume as soon as the AFL notify us.
We would like to thank our CEO, David Cannizzo, and all the staff for their understanding in these unprecedented times and would like to assure you all that the SFC Board has been forced to make this change in the interests of the long term future of the Club.
As soon as there is confirmation that the mighty Zebras can take the field again, we have great optimism on the success that will follow for the Club on and off the field.
Now, more than ever, we need your support and would like to take the opportunity to remind everyone that Sandy by the Bay is still open for lunch every Friday and will take bookings for functions.
