Co-Captain Answerth Commits for 2019

Sandringham Football Club can disclose another re-signing for next season, this time in co-captain and 2017 Best & Fairest winner, Kade Answerth.

Answerth this year played his 50 game in the VFL and has proven himself to be a crucial component of the Zebras’ leadership group. The talented midfielder is looking forward to next season, and leaving the 2018 season behind him.

“I’m extremely excited to sign on at the Zebs for 2019! Although it has been a tough year on field with results not going our way, I feel that we are building belief as a group that can deliver us into finals in the coming years,” Answerth said.

Hope is definitely there for the leadership group going into next year, and Answerth is well aware that the club has the talent and support that it needs to improve.

“I hope to win a premiership at Sandringham and be a key player in the first step towards that goal in the 2019 finals series. We have elements of what it takes we just need to put it together consistently for 4 quarters.”

“I’m looking forward to attacking preseason head on in conjunction with the other leaders and coaches to launch ourselves into our 2019 campaign!”

Sandringham Football Club’s chief executive, David Cannizzo speaks highly of Answerth’s talent and leadership abilities.

“I am personally delighted to have Kade committed to our club again in 2019. He has stood up and shown to be an impressive co-captain leading with conviction and purpose. Kade is a pleasure to deal with,” Cannizzo said.
