With our third bye of the season last weekend, there were a few who pulled on the boots for their community clubs. Here’s how they performed for their respective clubs.
In the Eastern Football Netball League Premier Division Vincent Zagari played his ninth game of the season for powerhouse club Balwyn against Doncaster.
He had 15 disposals, 13 kicks, six tackles plus five inside 50’s and was named in the Tigers best as they won by 22 points at Doncaster’s home ground of Schramms Reserve.
In the VAFA Joe Nowell played his seventh game for Premier C club Ormond. Unfortunately his side went down to red-hot Parkdale by 43 points at Parkdale’s home of Gerry Green Reserve.
In the MPNFL Johnathan Haidon also pulled on the boots for Division One club Pines.
He was named in the best as they drew with Dromana on their home deck at Eric Bell Reserve.
Also in the MPNFL Division One Fin Bayne played for Mt Eliza in their match at Red Hill. His side won a close encounter by three points.
